Research

Current Research
During 2003/04, the Council is engaged in research on the following topics:

Quality of care in the Spinal Injuries Unit at Musgrave Park Hospital
Having a spinal injury can be life changing. The quality of care in a Spinal Injury Unit can be critical to recovery and future quality of life.
This important research was carried out in 2002, and results will be available shortly.
Patient satisfaction with Palliative Care services
Where pateints need palliative care, it is important they feel the service is responsive to their needs.
This research will continue to listen to patient's views until Autumn 2003, and a publication will follow.
General patient satisfaction survey
The Council is always concerned to hear about the public's experience of health and social services, whether they are positive or negative. We need information to be able to promote better services and recognise excellence where it exists.
