Mrs Hamilton lives in Comber. She is a Medical Information Officer with Meningitis Research Foundation. She has lectured in further education, developing a wide range of health studies courses and delivered hygiene training in the workplace. In her current position, she has played a major role in raising awareness of meningitis and septicaemia across the community, including Surestart, Parentcraft, Travellers and other ethnic minority groups. She provides support to families and works with health professionals in primary care, hospital and public health. She holds no other public appointments.

Mrs McGarry lives in Lisburn and was a bank official until Rheumatoid Arthritis forced her early retirement. She is a Registered Disabled person and has extensive experience as a user of the HPSS. She is a strong advocate of the new anti-TNF drugs for the treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis and would like to see more funding to promote the use of these drugs. She holds no other public appointments and has not engaged in any political activity in the last five years.

Mrs McGrogan worked in the statutory and voluntary sector as a Professional Social Worker for the past forty years. Twenty-five of these years have involved managing family and child-care services in the voluntary sector. She has also undertaken unpaid voluntary work in marital services and police custody visiting services. Mrs McGrogan’s overarching interest is in Health and Social Services with particular interest in the Social Care sector.

She has been involved in voluntary and community work for more than 30 years, particularly in the field of health and social services.
