As part of its role in monitoring health and personal social services provided in the Eastern area, the Council carries out research into the quality of those services, user satisfaction and the potential for service improvement.

During 2003/04, the Council is engaged in research on the following topics:

• Quality of care in the Spinal Injuries Unit at Musgrave Park
• Patient satisfaction with Palliative Care services
• General patient satisfaction survey

Published Research
In the last two years, the Council has published several research reports on services in the area. The following reports are reproduced on the website:
