Five Key Targets

- Patients who attend A&E should be treated and discharged home, or admitted to hospital within 4 hours of their arrival.

- You should be seen by someone in your GP practice within 48 hours

- After referral from your GP, you should wait no longer than 13 weeks for your outpatient appointment

- You should not wait longer than 13 weeks for a diagnostic test, for example, a scan

- If it is decided that you need inpatient or day care treatment, you should receive it within 21 weeks
